INTRODUCTION
The Lazy View and Handle macro is designed to performa few calculations and/or corrections
on the primary orientation images AZI (azimuth) and INC (inclination).
The macro also allows the preparation of 'flat' orientation images (OGI) for comparison with EBSD images.
Flat OGIs display only one orientation per grain and have sharp grain boundaries, as shown on the left.

GETTING STARTED
Load View and Handle macro.
The macros are grouped as follows:
- import RAW images and set LUTs
- calculate and manipulate AZI images
- correct INC file
- make flat grains
Angle of maximum brightness (FMAX)
FMAX with LUT for conversion to AZI

CONVERTING FMAX TO AZI
Using [F], a LUT is invoked which converts the phase angle ρ(max) of
the brightness function G(ρ) to azimuth

Inclination image
[G] 10° gaps closed
[W] 10° wrapped
[X] 10° reflected

MODIFYING INCLINATIONS
- [W] stretches inclination values from lower to upper limit between 0° and 180°
- the cut-off values are wrapped across the center of the pole figure.
- [X] stretches inclination values from lower to upper limit between 0° and 180°
- the cut-off values are reflected at the center of the pole figure.
- [G] stretches inclination values from lower to upper limit between 0° and 90°
and between 90° and 180°
- the cut-off values are set to 0° 90° and 180°, respectively.

FLAT GRAINS
- [1] uses a stack with 5 slices:
- azimuth image
- inclination image
- grain map
- empty image for flat azimuth
- empty image for flat inclination
for each grain an average orientation is calculated and the whole grain is set to this value
- [2] expands the grains such that they touch each other
- [3] Median filter is applied to remove 'empty' pixels
