The Standard CLUTThe CLUTs can be input in two forms:
The CLUTs must be 180 · 180 RGB files, RAW, non-interleaved The CLUT shown on the left shows a different color for every possible orientation (1 ° resolution)
of the orientation half space.

The Spectrum CLUTThe CLUT shown on the left wraps around the periphery of the pole figure; it
does not distinguish axes that dip above or below the plane of the image.

The Positive CLUTThis CLUT can be used to recreate the impression of a thin section (20 µm thick) of optically positive material (e.g., quartz) viewed under crossed polarizers and with wave plate inserted.

Circular polarizationThis CLUT can be used to recreate the impression of a thin section (thinned to first order white) viewed under circular polarization (= crossed polarizers and 2 quarterwave plates inserted).

Crossed polarizationThis CLUT can be used to recreate the impression of a thin section (thinned to first order white) viewed under crossed polarization.
